LEBKUCHEN


Lebkuchen, pastry spice flavor is often present at Christmas. Besides the flavor and aroma of ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove flavors enriched these crunchy textured cake. Not to forget the grated lemon peel add this beautiful ornate dish special.

The ingredients / condiments:
100 grams of unsalted butter
150 grams of honey
150 grams of brown sugar
50 grams of sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
1 teaspoon of ginger powder
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
550 grams of low protein flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
1 egg yolk
100 grams of hazelnuts, toasted and finely chopped

Material glasur:
2 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon salt
250 grams of powdered sugar
1/8 teaspoon chili red dye
9 drops of green dye
9 drops of yellow dye


How to make:
  1. Melt the unsalted butter. Enter the honey, brown sugar, granulated sugar, salt, grated lemon peel, cinnamon powder, ginger powder, nutmeg, and clove powder. Stir well. 
  2. Beat in the eggs. Beat well. 
  3. Mix flour and baking powder. Enter the butter mixture while stirring. Add hazelnuts. Stir well. 
  4. Wrap the dough in plastic. Store in refrigerator for 1 hour. 
  5. Milled thick dough 1/2 cm. Print with mold christmas ornament shapes. Place on a baking sheet that has been spread thin margarine. 
  6. Oven with fire under the temperature of 150 degrees Celsius 25 minutes until cooked. Chill. 
  7. Glasur, beat the egg whites and salt until half fluffy. Enter a little powdered sugar. Beat until thick. 
  8. Divided into 4 parts. One piece of red colored chili. Stir well. A dark green colored section. Stir well. One section again given a yellow dye. Stir well. The rest let white. Stir each - each color. Set aside. 
  9. Decorative cookies with glasur. Oven with fire under the temperature of 120 degrees Celsius glasur 3 minutes until dry.
